The file you send decides more about how the order looks than anything else does. Here’s how to get it right, and what we can fix if you can’t.

A vector file is built out of shapes. Blow it up to any size and the edges stay sharp. A raster file is a grid of pixels, and at print size that grid starts to show.
- Best: AI, EPS, SVG, or vector PDF, fonts outlined
- Good: transparent PNG at 300 DPI at print size
- Needs prep: small JPGs, AI-generated logos, anything blurry
- Never: screenshots or photos of a printed shirt
Artwork Questions
What file should I send?
Best: a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG, or vector PDF) with the fonts converted to outlines. Workable: a transparent PNG or high-quality JPG at 300 DPI at the final print size.
My logo came from ChatGPT or an AI image tool. Is that OK?
Tell us up front. AI-generated images look great on screen but aren’t built from clean shapes, so they always need redrawing before they can be screened or stitched. We do that for a flat art-prep fee, and you keep the print-ready file forever.
What should I ask my designer for?
Say: “Send me the vector source file with the fonts outlined.” AI, EPS, or PDF, any of them work. If they drew your logo, they have it.
What can’t you use?
Screenshots, thumbnails, images saved off social media, or photos of a printed shirt. They are almost always too small or blurry to reproduce cleanly.
What does art prep cost?
A flat fee, confirmed before any work starts. Most logos take an hour or less. You get the cleaned-up, print-ready vector file to keep, so you never pay for it twice, here or anywhere.
